My first day at ITV on 3rd February!

This post is from Monday 3rd but I had trouble uploading!

So today's the first day at ITV! I'm on the train now getting very nervous. I only just made my train this morning because last night I decided to try out my new sleep in rollers and this morning they decided to not want to come out of my hair! Note to self, leave yourself a long time to remove the rollers!

Rollers in

The mornings going reasonably okay so far... I've only dropped a big of orange juice on my outfit that's about it!

The trains in the morning are so quiet, I decided on getting the slower train as it works out a lot cheaper with the season ticket. Their reasonably busy bit so quiet! I don't think anyone wants to talk in the mornings - or there all still asleep 😴 ?

So I decided that when I started this plant I would sort out my outfits the night before - erm I didn't do that! Oops! So this morning was a bit stressful with deciding what to wear. It was more a case of put something on and having to leave it on because I didn't have time to change! I didn't even have time for a picture. But this is what I wore...

Red cami dress with a black fluffy jumper over the top, black tights and primark shoes!

Thanks, I'll keep you updated on my time at itv :-)

I made my own two-piece!

So I decided that I wanted to start making my own two-pieces!

I decided for my first one to get some cheap fabric. I went to the fabric shop and I found some scrap fabric which I really liked in the basket and I only paid £1 for it :-)

So what I did first (I really apologise I don't have any pictures of my stages!

- First I went and borrowed a sewing machine off of my Grandma!
- I bought chalk to make markings on the fabric
- Card to make my own patterns
- And I chose the right colour thread.

Then...

- Then I drew out the pattern using a top and shorts I already had at home. One thing I had to be really careful with is that the front and the back of the shorts will be very different! (You need room for your bum!)

- Then I laid out the pattern I made and cut around it twice! Front of the top and back of the top visa versa.

- Once I cut out the piece I laid them together to check they were both the same if not I would trim around them. When sewing it together I think everyone has there own ways! I did mine different each time because I found better techniques! One thing I learnt was to double roll the hem so that it didn't fray. Also I learnt that I needed to curve my stitching around the bottom more so there was room.

- Once stitched together I needed to add elastic to the waist band! I did this by sewing a section for the waist band first and then using a drawing pin I attached it to the end of the elastic and weaved it through. Once it was the whole way round I sewed the opening up!

And Wa La!

Sorry that this wasn't very detailed and there weren't any pictures. If I thought about it before I would of created a tutorial!

If a tutorial is something people are interested in, please message me!

Heres how they turned out...

This was my first one I created!

Second one I made for my sister!

The best one is the one I created after visiting the Fabric shop in Brighton! I will post that one soon!

Thanks,

PR Assistant Experience

So as you already no I worked on a magazine back in June called IDGAF magazine!

I was in charge of assisting the Editor with the main PR duty's for the first issue of the magazine

I thought I would give you an insight of what this involved me doing - for those of you that may be unsure?

But first... I worked with IDGAF from June up until September when I came back to University. I would of loved to stay and help out because I really enjoyed what I did, but with it being my second year of University I wanted full focus on my study's!

I created a screenshot of my name published under PR and Marketing in the magazine because after my hard work I was so pleased with myself :-)

My duties:

When working in PR emailing is a big part of what you do! I was constantly contacting and replying to emails from PR companies, and music management agencies. You have to keep updated with your emails. I was sat on my computer all day long focusing on emailing out a lot of PR companies to try and get artists to feature in the magazine or to use a designers clothing for the shoots for our magazine. Never give up, no matter how long it takes.

If you want to contact a PR companies who represent someone that you really want to interview, keep emailing and if emailing doesn't work then you need to call! This is also something I did a lot!

CALL CALL CALL

If you can't get in touch through emailing and you can't find the direct email you need to call them. Call the office directly and tell them why your calling, and then ask who they feel would be appropriate to contact for your enquiry and a lot of them will give you a direct email which can make everything speed up.

I was in charge of :
- Finding hotel rooms to shoot in
- Finding artists to feature in the magazine for interviews
- Assisting on shoots
- Visiting catwalk shows and exhibitions
- Contacting music management agencies
- Contacting PR companies to try and borrow clothing for photo shoots.
- Writing Press Releases
- Creating IDGAF competitions
- Brainstormed event ideas and sponsorships

As you can see I was involved with a lot of different tasks! I was given a lot of responsibility as PR assistant and this was because I wasn't actually classed as an intern. With it being a start up magazine there were a lot of people involved and we were all working on it unpaid!

This was invaluable experience, I learnt a lot from working with this magazine and I can now put it into practice in future job/intern opportunities.

My advise for interns out there is, no matter how boring something may sound, or even if you think you may not enjoy something, just do it! I did this over my summer break from University and although some people may just want a break I took it upon myself to keep learning! I really enjoy to learn new things. All the time I will be accepted for internships or work experience I will take it because I know I can learn from every experience.

If anyone would like to know anything else about my experience just contact me :-)

Hope this was helpful!

What I Wore!

So yesterday I wanted to wear my gorgeous new top! I was just going up to the Outlet and for a drink so didn't want to match it with anything to OTT.

This is What I Wore!

Such a gorgeous top!

I really liked this outfit! It's got to be one of my favourites! :D

Top: New Look £12.99 (Bargain)
Trousers: Leather Leggings (I can't remember where these were from, I think somewhere like quiz?)
Coat: Primark £25
Shoes: Chockers £25

I love this top so much, admittedly I am buying myself another one as a backup! This sounds soo stupid but if it ever got discoloured or ruined I'd be very emotional, so why not get another one. Just in case!

What do you all like about this outfit?
Comment Below!

My Miley Obsession

So seeing as I love Miley Cyrus I thought I'd share her amazing, new crazy video with you!

It has just been debuted and I can't help but love it! It is so different, and very very raunchy! Which I am hearing, is what she loves!

A source close to Miley tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively:
“Miley is so proud of her video, she loves how it turned out. She was really involved with it from start to finish so the whole thing is very personal for her. She pretty much expects to have haters because it’s so different from anything she’s done in the past, but haters just make her stronger — she’s used to it by now.”

Well if you've got it then flaunt it! And Miley has definitely got it!

;-)

Here it is...

I took some stills from this video:

Seriously, how amazing does she look in white! And I have gotta say, no matter how many people that are still slating her hair, I LOVE IT!

I wish I could pull off red lipstick like she can! <3

Well my obsessive rant is over!

What do you all think of Miley? Or who's your celebrity obsession?
(Or do you not have one, am I just totally weird!)

Kim Kardashian has given Birth!

So, everyone, finally Kim Kardashian has given birth to her and Kanye West's baby girl!

CONGRATULATIONS!

It happened on Saturday making it 5 weeks early and the baby girl weighs less than 5 lbs.

Cedars-Sinai Hospital
Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills

Forensic artist Joe Mullins predicts that this is what Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's first child could look!

(I took this image from: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/gossip/kim-kardashian-birth-baby-girl-article-1.1373723 - read more here.)

Considering a name hasn't yet been decided yet I thought I would create a list of names beginning with a [ K ].

[ K ] is a traditional letter for the girls of the Family which is why I chose this one!

Kardashian family so far: Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, Kendal, Kylie, Kris.

K

Kady
Kacy
Kaiya
Katrina
Kathryn
Kay
Kelsea
Kaylah
Kailee

I think thats enough names from me!

I just can't wait to hear what they call their baby! After reading Khloe Kardasians Tweets, I'm sure the choice will be something quite positive and maybe, spiritual?

From her writing ' the miracle that is now apart of our family' we don't know what Kim went through with her birth. It sounds like she probably went through at lot!

Get Well Soon Kim and Baby Kardashian/West!

Cute Bag!

So, once again I got myself a bargain from Tk Maxx. Can you blame me? I work there, looking around is something I am basically paid to do ;-) I can't help but find these amazing pieces!

I have been looking for a laptop case for ages. My thought process went from getting a cheapo one for now... to saving up for a Ted Baker one... but then I decided that I didn't want to get ted baker as a lot of people have them... then I saw a really nice vibrant red one but avoided getting it for ages... Finally  then I found this - purchased straight away!

Talk about 'Wowcher' ;-)

The bag was £12.99 from Tk Maxx, this can be used for a smart bag to take to your internship interview, it's gorgeous and it can fit the Macbook 13inch and several pieces of paper, a file, a pen, and credit cards in - all sorts - so many sections!

One of the best bits is how the bag closes, it isn't just a popper that will pop undone, it is secure and will only open when the button is pressed, so no trouble with having all of your paper falling out! Its secure! No last minute disasters when your dashing to your interviews or work!  :)

There is also two different ways to hold the bag, like a clutch and like a brief case! ;) depending on your mood that day!
What could be more perfect!

I am lovin' the big clutch bags at the moment so I am going to also use this as a going 'out out' bag!

This is definitely a stylish pick with a difference!

What do you all think?

Mercedes McQueen, Copy Her Style!

Hollyoaks usually dress their characters in pieces from the highstreet. I usually watch it and recognise something I have. This can occasionally degrade the clothing that you have depending on which character is wearing it. Other times I see something it helps me style my piece of clothing in a different way.

On this occasion Mercedes was wearing an amazing geometric bodycon dress. As soon as I saw this dress, I just had to have it! It was so nice! I knew I'd be able to find it easily because most of their outfits are from the highstreet.

Without having to look for long I found it!

At first I thought I would find it on somewhere like ASOS, but this gorgeous piece is from TOPSHOP!

R.R.P £34.00

Unfortunately this dress is no longer being sold on the TOPSHOP website however, eBay - the place where you can find everything - has several for sale! These are for sale as cheap as £19.99.

This is being bought for me as a birthday present! Exciting :-)

Hope you all enjoyed my post!

Thank You For Reading, Please Comment :)

How To Lose 2-4cm Of Fat!

Well, everyone loves to know new ways of losing fat (excuse me if I am late in finding out about this.)

LASER LIPO,
LASER LIPO,
LASER...

You can see results of up to 2-4 cm fat gone just like that.

Places people mainly have it are places that they are finding hard to get rid of any unwanted fat. Recommended are 6-8 sessions per area, this is to get the best results possible. This is to be done with a healthy diet or the fat will not stay off and it wouldn't be worth your money!

No surgery, no pain, its Laser Lipo!

My sister went and got this done today! I received a message from her shortly after saying, "I lost 8.5cm of fat around my stomach they can't believe it as it is said to be around 2-4cm... You can't feel anything... I'll definitely go back for more."

It all sounds so positive, without any known serious harms to your body, why not give it a try if your struggling with that certain particular area!

The prices can vary a lot! But one thing I am certain about is that Groupon did an amazing deal at £59 for three sessions at The Strawberry Laser Lipo Clinic, I'm sure more deals will come up, or even on Wowcher!

Here a video to tell you all more!

Laser Lipo Application is good for:
  • Inch Loss Skin tightening
  • Cellulite reduction
  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Pre/Post liposuction contouring (Requires surgeon referral)

I was really amazed and interested in this! I hope you are all too :)

Please Comment what you think!

But I Might Wear That Again!

So, yesterday I went to the pub for a 'soft drink' as I was too hungover from the night before to have a wine! I went to join my boyfriends parents for a catch up. In the amazing sunny, but windy weather I weren't sure what to wear. So, I dug through my wardrobe, I went right to the end of the wardrobe (you know where us girls keep all of those clothes we don't want to throw out and we say "but I might wear that again." I found a lovely green Maxi skirt - green is really growing to be my favourite colour! So in this case I'm so glad I kept it!

That section of my wardrobe will come in handy!

This skirt naturally gets creased easily, so I thought, save ironing it and then as soon as I sit down it getting creased, I thought I would leave it! It gave it texture and it looked pretty good to be honest!

What do you all think?

These beaut shoes again!

Just a plain black top. Keep it simple - it's only a pub!

Glitzy necklace to give it a little jazz up :)

My face always seems to look moody!

And Woolaaaaaa! My pub outfit :)

The wind didn't blow my skirt up, perfect!

Skirt: Newlook
Top: Topshop
Shoes: River Island
Necklace: Primark

Hope you all like it! :)
