What I Wore!

Today I was off out for a day with my Girlies! I decided to really try and make an effort with what I wore. First things first I thought, Levi's!

Perfect in the hot weather, a crop top, and some platformed sandals :) Looked amazing but was missing something.

It just needed one more thing to be able to go out in.

A cardigan/cape?

Outfit done! :)

Hope you like this post!

An update on yesterdays post;

I only went and bought both things I wanted from Tk maxx,  The Michael Kors Jacket and the Kurt Geiger shoes, but they were both soo nice and soo perfect. When I wear them both next I'll upload some pictures. It just shows, I just had to have them

I just HAVE to have it!

I'm sure you all get that moment when your like...

''Oh but I just have to have it, look at it, it's totally amazing!''

I had this today !

I work in Tk maxx and who can resist a designer label with up to 60% off! Not me! Tk maxx is described as a jumble sale but the people that describe it as this I'm sure you just had a bad experience. I only ever buy odd bits and bobs from there, sometimes theres nothing and other times theres loads I want.

Last week I saw these amazing Kurt Geiger (I have a major obsession with Kurt Geiger) shoes in there.  Pretty much sandals with a low chunky heel - in the style of clogs! These were amazing but at £54.99 I definitely could afford them.

The best thing about Tk maxx is their clearance, after 6 weeks of having an item in-store it will be reduced to help it sell. And guess what! The Geigers have been reduced to £40, much more affordable and I may be purchasing them tomorrow so keep updated and I will post a picture, I can't wait!

Talk about, I just HAVE to have it!

Another thing I found today which I just have to have is a MICHAEL KORS QUILTED JACKET. Yesss I know it isn't winter, but seriously, it's not exactly summer either at the moment is it? Since I saw this jacket at the beginning of my shift I didn't stop obsessing about it, or thinking about it. (This better be normal fashionistas out there!)

The big debate was the price £59.99? (Bloody good price considering before it was in the hundreds). After deciding I was going to get the Kurt Geigers and then this, sandals and a coat, what a contrast! ... Hmmmm?

Quick, terrible photograph so I can decide over night!

Can I spend £100?

I'll update you tomorrow!

Decisions decisions...

What would you do?

Please comment :-)

Interning At GFW

I decided the best post for my FIRST EVER POST would be about my experience at GFW!

So, today I was a dresser for UCA Rochester at Graduate Fashion Week! It was amazing... Busy, frantic, stressful, everything it is suppose to be, I can't help but thrive off that environment. The models were gorgeous, and the clothes shockingly stunning!

My day:

5.30am - Woke up

6.30am - Left for Rochester

7.45am - Left Rochester (on the crazily stuffy) coach

9.45am - Arrived at Earls Court

10am - At this point we got ourselves familiar with the area we was going to be working in, we found our allocated rail, the garments to go on it and fiddled around with shoe sizes. (Shoe sizes are one of the most stressful things that I have experienced at fashion shows. Today we had size 7 models wearing size 5 shoes because there weren't any bigger to go around, talk about ouch!)

1pm - We ran through all of the outfits just before the show started at 2pm. This took a good half an hour to check they were all perfecto! In the running of this while we were going from outfit to outfit we tore the tights badly! Oooppss, luckily, they had one last pair and we didn't make the same mistake next time!

2pm - THE SHOW BEGINS! I was soo busy while the show was going on that I don't actually know how long it went on for but it went super smoothly.

No mess ups, no rips, no falls, no blisters!

It was really nerve racking because I was dressing a model in someone else's clothes and trying to make them look exactly how they wanted them too through looking at a picture and reading a few lines. If anything went out on the runway wrong it would be down to me, the designers collection may now fail.

A dressers doesn't seem that big a responsibility, but it is!

Although this was an unpaid interning experience I was assisting my own University which I feel is very supportive, also everyone was so kind, and with it only be one day it didn't cost me a lot for travel when I think about the experience and skills that I have now gained.

7.30pm - I arrived home finally. After a long long coach journey because of rush hour traffic in central London, then my journey driving home from Rochester! A long day but definitely work it!

A took a load of backstage images for ya'll to look at! A little sneaky peak of the UCA Rochester designs...

Well that's it from me in this post, hope ya'll enjoyed reading it, please comment! I have so many things I want to write about so stay tuned ;-)
